For General Contractors

A Licensed C-10 Electrical Subcontractor for the Bay Area

YKCA Electric is a California-licensed C-10 electrical contractor serving general contractors, developers, and property managers across the San Francisco Bay Area.

We bid and execute residential, commercial, tenant-improvement, light industrial, and EV-charging-infrastructure scopes. Every technician is a W-2 employee — no day-labor, no 1099 paperwork to chase, no certified-payroll gaps at closeout.

Whether you are qualifying us for your approved vendor list or soliciting a bid, the documentation below is what we provide.

Our Commitment

What GCs Get When YKCA Holds the Electrical Scope

Code-Compliant Delivery

NEC 2023 and California Electrical Code on every install. Permits pulled under our license, inspections coordinated, sign-offs delivered before closeout.

Realistic Scheduling

Look-ahead schedules and manpower committed only at levels we can actually deliver. Weekly coordination with the GC's superintendent.

Single Point of Contact

One project manager from estimate through closeout. RFIs, submittals, and change orders handled through one contact — no escalation chains.

Scope Capabilities

Five Divisions, One Subcontractor

YKCA self-performs across the full electrical scope — power, lighting, low-voltage, EV infrastructure, and integrated smart-building systems. Our C-10 license fully covers C-7 low-voltage work, so structured cabling and controls do not require an additional sub.

We bid as prime electrical, as a tier-1 sub to general contractors, or as a specialty sub to other electrical primes on large multi-disciplinary projects.

Residential & Multifamily

Service upgrades, rewires, ADUs, multifamily new construction, panel and feeder work.

Commercial & Tenant Improvement

Office TI, retail, hospitality, light industrial — power distribution, lighting, controls.

EV Charging Infrastructure

L2 and DCFC, Tesla Wall Connector, ChargePoint, fleet depots, service upgrades for EVSE.

Low-Voltage & Smart Building

Structured cabling, access control, surveillance, lighting control, Lutron / Control4.

Insurance & Bonding

Coverage Documented Per Project

YKCA carries the policies California GCs typically require from electrical subs. Limits, carriers, and policy numbers are documented on a project-specific certificate of insurance.

  • Commercial General Liability — project-specific endorsements (Additional Insured, Primary & Non-Contributory, Waiver of Subrogation) issued per contract requirements.
  • Workers' Compensation & Employer's Liability — statutory California coverage for all W-2 employees, no subs operating under separate policies.
  • CSLB Contractor's Bond — bond on file as a condition of CSLB license issuance.
  • Project Surety Bonds — performance, payment, or bid bonds can be arranged through a surety as your contract requires.
  • Additional Coverages — Commercial Auto, Excess / Umbrella, and other endorsements available where required; we confirm specifics during prequalification.
